Supports the Wellness team to meet the communitys Art of Living Well philosophy and the six dimensions of wellness Vocational, Intellectual, Physical, Emotional, Social, and Spiritual-Monitor residents well being in a general way and report any changes in condition to the appropriate department-Plan and implement a variety of group and individual wellness programs that meet the varying needs of the residents and staff-Coordinate programs related to the interests needs of the current residents and the surrounding community at large-Teach and instruct classes as appropriate-Assist with Wellness newsletter and calendar of events-Drive vehicles as necessarySupervisory ResponsibilityResponsible for the direct supervision of associates in the following roles Wellness Assistants and Drivers. Through the use of independent judgment, assignments include having the authority, under the guidance of the Wellness Director, to hire, transfer, suspend, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or counsel associates.ExperienceTrainingEducationAssociates degree or above. 2 or 4 years background with developing and implementing Wellness exercise and overall wellness programs, preferably for seniors.Special RequirementsCertifications-ASFA Fitness instructorPersonal Trainer preferred-ACSM HealthFitness Instructor-Cooper Research Institute Fitness and Strength Training for seniors-Senior Fitness Association CertificationValid drivers license and proof of good driving recordCommercial Drivers License or expertise to obtain within reasonable time of employment as requiredFirst Aid certificationIntermediate level Ms office skillsIf you feel that you are what we are looking for, send your resume to Patricia at the email address above, fax to [removed phone], OR, come in and apply at 1100 E.
